Discover your calling

Our calling starts with what we have, where we are and what see. We don’t need to look further. We just need to take notice.

Sometimes you don’t need to go looking for your calling, your calling will find you.

Money, sex, and power. The world tends to worship them. Christians are often suspicious of them. And yet God made us to enjoy them.

Discover how to keep these three dangerous opportunities in the orbits that they were designed for, experiencing them in a way that satisfies you, serves the world, and glorifies God.

This fresh, refreshing book will wake you up to the blazing glory of Christ, and inspire you to make him the gravitational center of your life.

And when that happens, everything changes.

Satisfaction. Hmmm. Money? Sex? Power?

What does satisfaction in God looks like?

John Bloom illustrates this as God being the sun and other things that makes us happy, just shadows of His light.

Not only does the sun give light, it also holds together and in their proper places the Earth and other planets around it. Without the sun, the planets go off course. And just like the planets, when we lose our ways, we seek satisfactions like money, sex and power out of their glorious contexts.

Limited: Having some, not having none

In a world where Uber, Grab or Lyft is nonexistent, Ashiq gives free ride to anyone who needs one.

Ashiq works as a motorcycle mechanic in Hyderabad, Pakistan and has been giving free rides for 10 years now. He says it’s a God-given task. People, at first, were skeptical so his friend suggested he plays recordings of the Quran. Now they ride together picking up and dropping off people to where they need to be. That’s what he does with his limited resources.

Sometimes we complain of how limited we are that we postpone doing something with what we have. Being limited is having some, not having none. And that something might be that push others need to be where they need to be.
